Education Village Provides Culturally Responsive Classes for Youth
PT Partners Education Village Hosts Second Job Training for 14 youth from PT Barnum and Trumbull Garden Apartments, with 28 year-old Entrepreneur, Ebony Gill
(Bridgeport, CT, October 22, 2022) The resident leadership of PT Partners (PTP), a resident-owned initiative of PT Barnum Apartments in Bridgeport, CT, is proud to report on the wonderfully successful African Hair Braiding classes, provided by Ebony Gill, @_StylesbyEB, who is a 28 year-old, young entrepreneur. Classes took place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 and Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 11 am to 4 pm for 14 children and teens ages 9 to 17 years-of-age in downtown Bridgeport. Brunch was provided. Classes included a mannequin head and stand, hair braiding mousse, and head wraps, as well as covered hair parting, basic feeding, detangling and laying edges. At the end of the two-day course, students received a certificate of completion. Ebony continues to provide African braiding to customers. Her beauty salon is called Styles by Eb and is located on 1143 Noble Avenue in Bridgeport.
